Why do we need to detox?

Due to irregular sleep patterns, a stressful lifestyle and unhealthy diet habits, the volume of chemicals, preservatives, pollutants, drugs and heavy metals can be increased as a consequence. For this reason and so many others, like the rise of chronic diseases like cancer, detoxification has become a popular buzzword. The term 'detox' in modern day, means to remove the body’s wastes, toxins and other unwanted substances in order to enhance health and promote weight management through specific diets or detox products.
